Chefs Miko Aspiras and Aileen Anastacio Bring their New York Cheesecake to the Center for Culinary Arts

Students and alumni from the Center for Culinary Arts in Katipunan were delighted to have the A Piece of Cake team visit their beloved school last May 21. During the demo, both chefs Aileen Anastacio and Miko Aspiras explained what their newly-launched book is all about. In a nutshell, it is a comprehensive dessert cookbook that features 50 concepts with 2 executions each – a whopping 100 recipes curated for everyone’s sweet tooth.

Both the chefs demonstrated their own versions of the New York Cheesecake as seen on the book’s cover. Chef Aileen was proud to show her no-frills classic version while Chef Miko exhibited his flair with the modern take on the dessert. After the live demo, the launch and signing of the books followed. Guests even had a chance to sample the cheesecakes in miniature form with some of the other desserts in the book.

Another exciting treat is that the APOC team offered an exclusive discounted rate of the book for CCA students and alumni. It definitely was an exciting day for the CCA community.
